Indiana Professional Psychological Services (IPPS)

• If you visit our site to browse, read or download information, such as articles we have written:

     IPPS will collect and store only the following information: the name of the domain (Internet Service Providers or ISP's) from which you access the Internet (for example, AOL.com or BSU.edu) and the date and time you access our site.  WE WILL NOT IDENTIFY INDIVIDUAL USERS FROM THIS GENERAL COLLECTED DATA. 

     We use the aggregate statistical information we collect to measure  the number of visitors to the different sections of our site and to help us make our site more useful to visitors.  All aggregate statistical information collected is password protected and accessible only to Dr. Daniel Baney, President of IPPS and developer of this web site.  Questions can be directed to Dr. Baney.

• If you choose to identify yourself by sending an e-mail:

     You also may decide to send us personally-identifying information, for example, in an electronic mail message containing a request, question, or suggestion for improving our web pages.  We will respond to your email when appropriate, being as discrete as is reasonably possible.

    We want to be very clear: We will not obtain personally-identifying information about you when you visit our site, unless you choose to provide such information to us.

There is no release of information to third parties except to further the purpose for which you provided the information or if such release is required by law.

• If you use the secure Contact Us or Request Appointment Forms

     We use socket layer (SSL) encryption to protect the transmission of the information you submit to us when you use our secure online forms. The information you provide is stored securely and password protected.  If  we are requested to respond we will do so by the  telephone numbers you provide or regular US postal mail, as discreetly as is reasonably possible.

• Web Sites Directed at Children

     This web site is NOT designed nor intended to be "directed to children" as discussed in the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).   However, should information be provided to us from a minor child, we will make a good-faith effort to obtain parental consultation following the privacy statements discussed above, the HIPPA guidelines located HERE, and any  laws governing the nature of the disclosure.
